Product Description

Nathan Drake is back, as gaming's most charismatic hero tries to solve the mystery of Marco Polo's last voyage (and earn himself a fortune in treasure at the same time). The original was one of the first games to really prove the power of the PS3, but this sequel is another huge leap forward.

The first game already mixed intense gunplay with precarious platform action, but this adds in new stealth elements and more flexible parkour style climbing controls. Your enemies have been upgraded as well, with state-of-the-art artificial intelligence that makes them just as agile and resourceful as you.

Always known for its stunning graphics, this sequel not only looks better but it's now much more dynamic, with fully destructible scenery in every level. Add-in all-new co-operative and competitive multiplayer and you've got one of the most exciting action adventures of the year.

  • Cinematic action: Amazing third person action that genuinely feels like you're in your own action film, with gunfights, treasure hunting and even romance!
  • New tactics: Use new stealth and parkour based tactics to tackle the newly enhanced artificial intelligence, with bad guys so realistic they even have simulated peripheral vision.
  • 100% efficiency: Developer Naughty Dog claim the first game only used 30% of the PS3's power. With destructible environments and huge levels this is aims to max the console out.
  • Friends reunited: For the first time you and two friends (as Sully and Chloe) can play together in the same game, with the brand new co-op mode.
  • Uncharted territory: Also new is the competitive multiplayer, where you can play as either the heroes or villains in deathmatch and capture the flag games.

5 out of 5 stars Bloody Brilliant   March 14, 2010

This is one of the best games, I have ever played. I couldn't stop playing it, i just had to finish it. Graphics are amazing, shows what the PS3 can really handle, without even having to install the game, as you sometimes have to.

Online Co-op is brilliant, have been playing on that, since i finished the game. Downloaded the 2 add ons, for extra characters and maps.

Defiantly worth the money. Just a pain, when i put the game in and i had to download and install 5 updates lol, before i could play it.

this game is pure garbage, the only good thing about this pathetic excuse of game is the graphics. The gameplay is dull and boring.

I thoroughly enjoyed this game. Some witty dialogue, and fantastic graphics. I didnt mind the fact it was very linear, my only real "complaint" is that it was too short!

..which girl does he get in the end? The dialogue is so slick and funny.

Being a big fan of the first game I was delighted that the general logic and feel of this game was not tampered upon too much. At first I got a little irritated with the guards in the beginning (very sneaky, like old Metal Gear) and then by the new grenade-throwing buttons BUTthis was all water under the bridge. The game plays briliantly and although 'non 5-star' reviewers will moan that it's too easy to complete and effortless to make even difficult jumps I actually think this is mainly because they are missing a couple of points. The longevity of the game (like the first) lies with finding the treasures, adapting your combat style to gain medals and unlockables. The jumps are easy because the control mechanism is brilliantly forgiving, I am in no mood to return to Tomb Raiders clitchy Lara with questionable deaths from 10 feet up. The final criticism I have read is with the simplicity with the puzzles. Granted, these are easy but they are there to break up the fighting scenes (which are superb and v frequent) and allow you to take stock of your surroundings. Unchartered 2 is an action/adventure and it hs this by the bucketload.

New guns have been added, which is fun and I am very excited by the prospect of online multiplayer - which I am not yet anywhere near approaching as I am going to complete the game on all difficulties in storymode. This coming from someone who usually puts a game back on the shelf after completion.

If I could give 6 stars to the graphics I would. I have never seen such graphics and attention to detail before. Tibet is just staggering. The wealth of colour of masks, debris, signs, buildings are breathtaking - when it could've been easier to just present a cliched, monotoned, war-torn backdrop with grey, crumbling buildings. I have seen and played many XBOX and PS3 games and this sets a new benchmark for graphics.

Buy it and trust us on this one

5 out of 5 stars Nothing but fun   March 5, 2010

I have not played the first one , but this one is excellent. Its full of suspense , you can't predicted easliy whats going to happen next to your character. The pace changes constantly while playing this game, one min your having a discussion with someone about something and the next min your hanging off a cliff hoping you don't fall to a all so pain filled death. Ha Ha Excellent.

You will certainly like this game if you like games that , have action , adventure, jaw droping graphics and atomosphere. You go from being relaxed to stress out in mins Ha Ha Never had a gaming experiennce like this one before you will like it for sure. Its earned its 5 stars in my book.
